Tours Airport Access
The Tours Airport is just under five miles from the centre of Tours, about 10 minutes by car. There is a taxi rank in front of the airport terminal and normally there are taxis waiting after scheduled flights or one can be called if needed. The cost is around 15€ to the centre of Tours.
There is shuttle service from the airport to the Tours train station (Gare de Tours). The cost is 7 euros for a single. The shuttle schedule is synced to arriving flights and leaves 30 minutes after flights land or 1.5 hours before take off. It takes 20 or so minutes for the shuttle to go from the airport to the train station.
The airport is just 10 minutes from the A10 Paris-Bordeaux motorway and the A28 to Le Mans. To access the airport use exit 20 and then follow the signs. From Tours you can access the airport on the national road N10, the airport is well signposted from Tours. Here are two examples of road signs.
The St Pierre Des Corps train station, just east of the centre of Tours is on the Paris-Nantes TGV (high speed train) line. Meaning Paris (Gare Montparnasse) is just one hour away, Paris CDG Airport is one and a half hours and Nantes a little under an hour. But please note that the TVG leaves from St Pierre Des Corps station and not the Tours train station in the center of the city and where the shuttle bus drops off.
To get from St Pierre Des Corps to the Tours train station, or vice-versa you will take a five minute train ride that is included in the price of your TGV ticket should you travel between Tours and Paris or another city.
The Tours Airport is about 12 to 20 (20 to 30 kilometres) from such Chateaux as Amboise, Chenonceau, Villandray and Langeais.
